I’ve just got a spare 20 minute so I thought I would do a quick update since I haven’t posted in a while.
I finally forced myself to get started on editing the first draft of my novel Fireworks and it is going better than I expected. I’m working on editing the first three chapters and writing a synopsis and cover letter so I can send it to a publisher and edit the rest while waiting for a response. I’m not a very patient person and I think that having something to do will make the time go quicker!
Last Saturday I spent the whole day making a huge map (shown below) of the fictional town (Santa Carma, CA)in which my story is set. Was I procrastinating? Probably. But was it fun, and will it help my editing? Yes, definitely.
There’s still another 10 days left to enter my writing competition (see my last post for details and get updates on my twitter page @cw_writing).
Thanks for reading, I’d love to hear some feedback and I’m looking for published or unpublished writers to interview for my next blog if anyone is interested.
Good luck to everyone else working on projects!
